Mobile 10 Meter Meteorological Tower

We use a portable 10-m tower to obtain valuable micrometeorological information. The tower is mounted on a trailer and is designed to be towed behind a pickup truck. Once in position the tower is quickly rotated to its erect configuration. The tower is equipped with an array of temperature sensors, cup anemometers, a wind vane, a solar radiation sensor and a humidity sensor. The anemometers are mounted at 0.2, 0.4, 1, 2, and 10 m. The humidity and radiation sensors are mounted at 2 m. Temperatures are measured at the soil surface and at heights of 0.2, 0.6, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and 10 m.
